“I rather expected that I would never use the drug, which has now changed, I may use the drug… My closest friends and family are with me on my decision, even though some of them have mixed feelings.”
How lucky you are Lovelle to have the opportunity of ‘using the drug’. There are many in my country, and the one I left 6 years ago who would dearly like to have that choice available legally.
I do admire your courage in so openly talking about something which we shall all have to face eventually. Most people refuse to even think about death much less talk about it.
Choice at the end of life is the one human right still denied. If it is God who prohibits us from making the choice when to end life, what sort of creature is he/she who can see the suffering which results and not be moved. For goodness sake, most people WANT to live until the joy and pleasure of existence become unavailable to them.
